Smallville Finale Lex Luthor Teaser

Lex Luthor is back, baby! Lot’s of Smallville alumni have returned to the CW series for the exciting season ten shenanigans. Why? Because season ten is also the last for the series. Kristen Kreuk will not return, but let’s not dwell, people, especially not when actor Michael Rosenbaum is in the flesh!

TV Line assured us of the wonderful news. They even have some video to really tease you with. Our own Clark Kent, actor Tom Welling, said the finale for the ten year stint was “was absolutely fantastic because it was like he never left. We jumped right back into it.” That’s what I like to hear!

There was some concern the reunion wouldn’t actually happen.

Rosenbaum recalls, “I called them up on like a Friday, saying: ‘Look, I want to do this, but I’ve go to film this other thing [Fox's Breaking In] — so I’m coming up [to Vancouver] next Thursday.’ And they started writing!”

On that side note, how awesome is Rosenbaum’s character on the new Fox series? I, for one, think Dutch is awesome! He was a major draw for me to watch the series pilot. See our review of the last episode of Breaking In.

“We had already started breaking the finale,” executive producer Kelly Souders tells TVLine. “But it was pretty easy and seamless to rev up that story faster.” After all, she notes: “It’s Lex!”

“The CW’s Smallville airs the first of its final four episodes this Friday at 8/7c.” I wonder if I’ll need a box of tissues.

Awesome to see Lex back. Plus, he’s sporting the gloved hand!
