Danny Glover in Psych

In it’s time on TV, Psych has had some fantastic guest stars walk on set for an episode or two. There’s been Peter Weller, Ray Wise, Nestor Carbonell and the more recently annouced Molly Ringwald just to name a few. Also being added to the fold, according to Entertainment Weekly, is non other than Danny Glover.
Slightly older audiences will instantly recognize Danny Glover, and anyone who doesn’t well… shame on you. Glover is perhaps best known for his work as Roger Murtaugh in the Lethal Weapon series of films. He’s been around a long time, and while he may not seem like he does much these days, he’s actually in quite a lot of films; sometimes just doing smaller parts. His last “big” movie was 2012 where he played the president.
But enough about his past, what’s going on in his future? What will Glover be doing on Psych?
The co-star of the Lethal Weapon franchise will play a manager of a minor league team who seeks investigative assistance from Shawn (James Roday) when the team’s hitting coach mysteriously drops dead.
Baseball huh? Glover should feel right at home with that, having played a team manager in a little flick back in the day that featured baseball… and angels. Of course I’m talking about Angels in the Outfield. That movie has a spot right next to my heart.
Also appearing in the episode will be Michael Trucco playing the suspect of the murder and 1996 World Series Champ Wade Boggs. Not sure who Boggs will be playing just yet.
