Law & Order: Criminal Intent – Raymond J. Barry is Daddy, Emily Mortimer up for HBO Pilot

Law & Order: Criminal Intent is bringing back some familiar faces for what might be its final season, and a couple of new faces are coming along for the ride to make sure there’s plenty of drama to go around for everybody.

In addition to a brand new shrink to dig around in Detective Goren’s troubled psyche, TVLine reports that Detective Eames will be having a family reunion when Raymond J. Barry (Justified) makes an appearance as her dad.

Kathryn Erbe, who plays Eames, wouldn’t provide too many details on the storyline, but did say the relationship would be complicated, and there would be some “very, very meaty scenes” shared between her and Barry.

Law & Order: Criminal Intent just started its 10th season, but there’s currently no info about when Daddy Eames will be showing up.

Flipping the channel from USA to HBO has Deadline reporting that Emily Mortimer is in talks for the female lead in the tentatively titled More As This Story Develops.

Mortimer would play MacKenzie, the executive producer of a show hosted by cable news anchor Will McCallister (Jeff Daniels). According to the description, “producing the news is what [MacKenzie] does best and everything else is tied for last place.”

If negotiations go well, in addition to Daniels, Mortimer will also be joining Olivia Munn and Alison Pill in the HBO pilot.
