Saving Grace’s Leon Rippy a Leverage Villain

Looks like Leverage is going to have it’s very own guardian angel for its fourth season. Saving Grace‘s Leon Rippy is joining the cast of Leverage, but he won’t actually be playing an angel. That would be weird, and not make sense in a show that is essentially a modern day Robin Hood scenario (stealing from people who deserve it and such). No, instead Rippy is going to be a recurring villain for the Leverage team. He’ll be playing something like an investor named Mr. Latimer, much like Warren Buffet only more evil.

According to TV Guide:

Latimer begins spying on Nate (Timothy Hutton) and the rest of his gang of thieves with selfish intentions. Once Latimer figures out the Leverage team’s game, he begins lining his own pockets by taking advantage of the companies Nate’s team brings down.

If I’m being perfectly honest, the only thing I’ve ever seen Leon Rippy in was Gridiron Gang. And I don’t even remember that movie very well. But if I were to judge him based solely on his acting credits (Deadwood and Six Feet Under) then he’s going to be great. But it’s hard to judge a role even when it’s played by someone you’re familiar with. I could love Rippy and have seen everything he’s ever been in and I might be disappointed. So I’ll say that Rippy will do the best job he can do. Maybe I will watch a couple episodes of Deadwood just to get to know him better.
