Smallville Supergirl Laura Vandervoort in Seth MacFarlane’s TED

You know Seth MacFarlane. He has created and provided the voices for characters in his animated comedies, like Family Guy, American Dad! and The Cleveland Show.
You also know Laura Vandervoort, Smallville‘s Supergirl and mainstay in the V reboot.
What do you get when you put the two together? You get Ted!
Deadline.com made the announcement that the film called Ted, which will come to us from the mind of MacFarlane, has just won Vandervoort as a cast member. She’ll play a “gorgeous salesgirl” working at a rental car service. She’s absolutely “clueless” regarding “the gaggle of men who drool over her all day.” Her character’s name is Tanya.
With her in the film are stars Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis, Joel McHale, Giovanni Ribisi and Patrick Warburton. On 30 April MacFarlane shared this via Twitter:
Filming on “Ted” has begun at last– best cast and crew a guy could ask for.
He also Tweeted about actor Matt Walsh who seems connected to Ted, too:
Check out “Ted”‘s Matt Walsh tonight in the premiere of “High Road” http://bit.ly/kGZlgg
Vandervoort has been doing double the work on V of late, playing two characters. We reported on her other upcoming project, What I like About You. She also completed a recent episode of Family Guy. In 2010 she played a role in Riverworld alongside Tahmoh Penikett of Dollhouse. She recently returned for the final season of Smallville to reprise her role.
