2 New Clips From J.J. Abrams’ Super 8

The directorial resume of J.J. Abrams is getting fairly iconic, don’t you agree? Already on his list of pictures are Mission Impossible III, Star Trek, and now, Super 8 (though he has written or produced far more films). Produced by Steven Spielberg and starring Kyle Chandler and Elle Fanning, Super 8 hits theaters in less than 25 days on June 10th.

The nostalgic creature feature takes place in 1979 in Ohio as a group of amateur filmmakers, kids no less, capture a train crash with their Super 8 camera, the type of machine, I might add, that many of today’s most prominent filmmakers tinkered with when they were young. Whatever escapes the military train unleashes a slew of unusual “accidents” and unexplainable phenomena.

To get a better feel for the movie we’ve brought you two new clips. You can enjoy them now. We had some prior peeks just last month.

You can also enjoy the trailer and plot synopsis right here on BoomTron. Find out, too, just what an interactive trailer might be.

What are Abrams’s plans for further television exploits? I’m very excited about Person of Interest starring Jim Caviezel. It better net get axed before I can see a pilot. Here’s the latest news on that series. You can also get the scoop on the very Abrams-esque Alcatraz.
