Wes Bentley is The Hunger Games’ Seneca Crane

Wes Bentley has appeared in a variety of films that range from American Beauty to Ghost Rider to Jonah Hex, and the LA Times reports that he’ll soon be getting some major recognition in the dystopian field with The Hunger Games.

After getting the main characters and the majority of the tributes out of the way, Lionsgate is finally focusing more on the adults, with Bentley entering a line-up that includes Woody Harrelson, Stanley Tucci, and Lenny Kravitz. The 34-year-old Bentley has been tapped to play the role of Seneca Crane, the head game-maker of the 74th annual Hunger Games, which is the focus of Suzanne Collins’ hit YA novel.

While waiting for Gary Ross’ vision of the reality show from hell to hit the big screen, Wes Bentley can also be seen in the Roland Joffe drama, There Be Dragons.

It might be the adults who are ruling the casting news now, but we all know it’s the kids that are going to add the real edge, so don’t forget to check out the newest tributes for District 5, as well as the ones for District 3, District 1, and District 11. When it comes to kids, The Hunger Games will also be featuring the big screen debut of Willow Shields as Katniss’ little sister.
