A Look at AMC’s The Walking Dead Season 2

Every day I hope and pray that we’ll get a tasty morsel of information about The Walking Dead‘s upcoming second season. There’s a lot of mystery surrounding it, which is a good thing. We don’t want to know too much otherwise we might feel spoiled, but we still want something to get excited about. TV Line posted the very first image from Season 2, and I’ve grabbed it for you all to look at. Pretty little thing, ain’t she?

As always, the zombie make up looks beyond amazing; stupendous even. But if you’re like me, you were instantly drawn into her eyes. They are so big. Clearly the actress playing the zombie doesn’t have eyes that huge, so this must be something done in post-production. But why? Why enlarge her eyes? I’m racking my brain looking for an answer. We’ve never seen a zombie with an issue like this before so I’m wondering if maybe she’s special? We already know there are zombies in the series, so why release this specific weird picture? Maybe I’m looking for something that isn’t there, but those eyes are bizarre and I want them to have meaning otherwise they’re just pointless and don’t make a lot of sense.

This might be all we get until we hear more about some of the new cast. AMC was looking for people to play the roles of Hershel, Maggie and Otis a little while back. Hopefully we get some stills of the main survivors doing some surviving, maybe with some hints of where things are going.
