Californication Season 5 Adds Justified’s Natalie Zea

Natalie Zea californication showtime

Justified wrapped up its second season last month, and was renewed for a third season a couple months before. Natalie Zea guest starred in the pilot as the ex-wife to Timothy Olyphant’s Raylan Givens and was quickly made into a series regular, striking a deal for two seasons of the critically acclaimed show. Now Deadline reports that Zea has signed a new deal to continue on for the FX show’s third season.

Because being a series regular just isn’t enough work for Zea, she’s landed an upcoming role in Season 5 of Californication, where she will play a love interest to David Duchovny’s character. No surprise there. I’d be shocked if Duchonvy’s Hank DOESN’T have sex with whoever Zea ends up playing. On a more interesting note (for me at least), Zea guest starred in the pilot episode for J.J. Abrams and Jonathon Nolan’s brainchild, Person of Interest, as a district attorney.

I’ve been dying to watch a little bit of Justified, but I haven’t found the time. I’m attracted to its modern western theme and it’s been getting a lot of pre-Emmy buzz. I’ve only ever seen Zea in the Will Ferrell comedy, The Other Guys and more recently an episode of Franklin & Bash. She didn’t stand out to me, as I had to look those appearances up to know I’d seen her in them. Obviously she must good if she’s getting renewed for Justified. Let’s hear some chatter in the comments about Natalie Zea’s renewal and Justified in general.
