Captain America: The First Avenger will bring to life perhaps the most patriotic Marvel comic character of all time on July 22nd. Here on BoomTron we have a terrific TV spot all about the film

What else have we got for you? Well, the Marvel website introduced new pics from the film and we’re proud to share them today. There are 12 exciting images in all.

You’ll see Cap’s arch rival Red Skull as portrayed by the wondrous Hugo Weaving (get to know him better if you dare). You’ll meet Dominic Cooper as Howard Stark, Iron Man’s daddy dearest, and Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes. Stanley Tucci is Abraham Erskine, a scientist who helps make Cap into the super soldier. You’ll see star Chris Evans rendered skinny thanks to movie magic. You’ll meet the ominous HYDRA army. We have even more pics if that suits your fancy!

Recently another Marvel comic adaptation did well at the box office. That was X-men: First Class, which went back in history for a clever plot line. First Avenger will do the same to deliver the classic origin tale of Steve Rogers as he becomes Captain America. The film also makes way for Joss Whedon’s Avengers picture.
