Carly Foulkes – T-Mobile to POWERS Retro Girl

The cast of FX’s Powers is fast coming together. Jason Patric and Lucy Punch were cast as Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim respectively, two detectives who work exclusively on cases involving “powers”, people who have superpowers. Now we have news that the series has found its Retro Girl in Miss Carly Foulkes. Now if that name doesn’t ring a bell, don’t be surprised, but rest assured you’ve probably seen her act before. The Canadian model and actress is perhaps only known for her appearance in those T-Mobile ads, in which she wears a pink and white dress, although she has appeared on the cover of Elle magazine. And yeah, she’s pretty cute.

One thing is for sure; this is a big break for Carly Foulkes. Moving up from commercials to an actual TV series is a huge deal and I’m excited for her. The transition from wearing a nice dress to sporting a superhero costume might be a little jarring, but that’s just part of the job. I would be psyched to learn my first TV gig was as a superhero. That is not something that happens everyday.
