Glee’s Chris Colfer Signs Little, Brown Book Deal

Okay fantasy readers, are you ready for a title from Chris Colfer to color your bookshelves? Be prepared, because the Glee star has won his first two-book deal. EW sang the news. Little, Brown Books for Young Readers is going to publish “The Land of Stories [which] is set to hit stores in summer 2012, [and] the second as-of-yet untitled novel coming later.”

“When I was ten years old, I promised myself that if I ever had the opportunity to write this book, I would jump at the chance,” Colfer said in the press release. “This book has been at the core of my imagination for a long time and I’m excited and nervous to share it.”

Didn’t you know Colfer could write? He “recently penned the scripts for a Disney Channel pilot and the movie Struck by Lightning.” So there you have it.
