Griffin Dunne in Showtime’s House of Lies with Kristen Bell and Don Cheadle

Griffin Dunne is going to be getting his hands dirty this season as THR brings word that he’s joining Don Cheadle and Kristen Bell in Showtime’s new House of Lies. The new series, already cleared for 12 episodes, is based on the book, House of Lies: How Management Consultants Steal Your Watch and Then Tell You the Time, by Martin Kihn.

Dunne will appear in a multi-episode arc as a world-famous consultant that teams up with less-than-ethical management consultant Marty (Cheadle) and Ivy League graduate, Jeannie Van Der Hooven (Bell). The series also stars Dawn Olivieri as Marty’s ex-wife, who also runs a consulting firm and might be even more devious than her ex-husband.

In addition to his role in House of Lies, Dunne, who was busy last year as a judge on CBS’s The Good Wife, will also be showing up as a reporter on the upcoming season of the FX drama, Damages. One thing’s certain; regardless of which network is your favorite, there’s a good chance you’ve seen Dunne in something.
