Jersey Shore Season 4 Premiere Set, Season 5 A Go

One of MTV’s most popular shows (or more accurately the most popular show) right now is the reality TV program, Jersey Shore. There are a lot of haters of this type of show, myself included, but that doesn’t negate the fact that it is incredibly popular and has a highly devoted fanbase. After some delays, MTV finally announced when Jersey Shore’s fourth season would premiere, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The date set is Thursday, Aug. 4 at 10 PM.

The new season changes things up for the Jersey Shore gang. The cameras followed them across the ocean to film the cast in Florence, Italy. The reasoning behind the change in locations most likely has to do with the cast being Italian-Americans. Unfortunately, some of the locals in Florence think Jersey Shore gives Italians a bad name, which was one of the reasons why the season was postponed, but that’s all in the past.

MTV announced that Season 5 of Jersey Shore would begin production sometime this month, returning to Seaside Heights. This move sounds like it has something to do with the negative reaction to filming in Italy, and to me it makes more sense for a show called Jersey Shore to be filmed in New Jersey.

Also coming up is an hour long special being aired Thursday, July 28. The special will showcase where Jersey Shore started and how it got to where it is today. All the fans out there should check it out and start getting excited for seeing Snookie and The Situation in Italy.
