Megan Fox Transformers 3 Absence Clarfied by Michael Bay
Are Megan Fox and Michael Bay ready to bury the hatchet? According to a hot GQ interview, the starlet and the blockbuster director may not need to. That is, the infamous riff between them may not be as personal as it once seemed.
The snippet previews a full article set to appear in the July issue of the magazine. The conversation is shared by Transformers franchise screenwriter Ehren Kruger, Michael Bay, Shia LaBeouf, producer Ian Bryce, and actors Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Julie White. It cites one of Megan’s moments of bad mouthing her director. It was in an interview with the British magazine Wonderland, that Megan said Bay “wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is. So, he’s a nightmare to work for.”
Kruger said Megan was on the set but generally lacked interest, to which Michael Bay replied, “She was in a different world, on her BlackBerry. You gotta stay focused. And you know, the Hitler thing. Steven [Spielberg] said, “Fire her right now.” And how do you not heed the advice of icon, Steven Spielberg?
LaBeouf added, “Criticism is one thing. Then there’s public name-calling, which turns into high school bashing. Which you can’t do. She started shit-talking our captain.”
Bay concluded, “I wasn’t hurt, because I know that’s just Megan. Megan loves to get a response. And she does it in kind of the wrong way. I’m sorry, Megan. I’m sorry I made you work twelve hours. I’m sorry that I’m making you show up on time. Movies are not always warm and fuzzy.”
[Editors note: Fox declined to comment for this article.]
On the opposite end of the spectrum, everyone around seemed to adore newcomer, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. She seems like a real Miss Congeniality. (See Shia and Rosie now.) And maybe that’s okay, because some communication seems in tact between Fox and Bay. He says, “She sent me a text three months ago. She said, ‘I hope you’re doing well.’ I responded, ‘Who is this?’ She goes, ‘Megan, you dork!’ I said, ‘Oh, well, thank you, hope you’re well.’ When you’re days and months on a set, it’s like a family. You say rude things and you make up.”
