True Blood’s Lauren Bowles Visits Curb Your Enthusiasm

Larry David’s Curb Your Enthusiasm premiere’s its eighth season July 10 on HBO. The show is well known for its frequent use of celebrity guest stars. The Hollywood Reporter reports that the show has signed on a True Blood actress for an episode. The actress in question is Lauren Bowles, who plays a waitress with an interest in the occult named Holly Cleary in the hit vampire show. Also appearing in the same episode is Bowles real life husband, Patrick Fischler (perhaps best known for his roles on Lost and Mad Men). The couple will be playing a couple that gets on Larry’s nerves. Fischler’s character will be a very affectionate “hugger” while Bowles will play something of a busybody.
The new season already has a number of big name actors and actresses that will lend their time and talent to the Emmy award winning comedy series. You can expect to see such recognizable faces as Rosie O’Donnell, Rich Sommer, Wanda Sykes, Ricky Gervais and Michael J. Fox. If you’re not familiar with how the show works, a lot of the time the guest stars play fictional versions of themselves and do an incredible job at annoying Larry David. In fact pretty much everyone annoys Larry in some way, shape or form.
For the first time in the shows seven-season run, the action will be split up between Los Angeles and New York City. The new season continues the over the top, tongue-in-cheek looks at Larry David’s life as a semi-retired writer and producer.
