White Collar Casts Beau Bridges

white collar

White Collar has tapped actor Beau Bridges (older brother of Academy Award winning actor Jeff Bridges) for a guest starring part in an upcoming episode according to TV Guide. Bridges will be playing Agent Kramer, a federal officer with an eye for art and a mentor to Peter (Tim DeKay) ever since he was training at Quantico. He will act like a father to Peter, which is something we could all use, don’t you think? It will be interesting to see the by-the-book Peter interact with someone in such a personal way.

Bridges started shooting his episode, titled “Countdown” on Tuesday of this week. This episode airs August 9 and will function as the midseason finale, so you can expect it having a little more zing than your average White Collar episode. Having been nominated for more Emmys then I can count and has won three, Beau is always worth having on a production. His last nomination came from guest starring on TNT’s The Closer last year. Don’t be surprised if Bridges manages to bring home another Emmy nomination for this role; the man has some serious talent.

Bridges joins a growing list of top-notch guest stars for White Collar’s third season. We’ve already seen the likes of the Masterson brothers, Danny and Chris, and still to come is Eliza Dushku’s guest spot serving as a dangerous fling for Neal. Also popping up is Ghostbusters‘ Ernie Hudson to play another mentor-like figure, this time for Mozzie. What more could you ask for?
