Burn Notice Adds Psych From Breaking Bad in Jere Burns

When Burn Notice needed a psychiatrist they must have been re-watching Breaking Bad Season 3 and fallen in love with Jesse Pinkman’s sponsor, played by Jere Burns. I don’t mean they were so impressed by Burns that they immediately offered to have him replace Jeffrey Donova. That would be extreme and highly unlikely, but he did land a recurring role for at least five episodes. That’s much more believable while still being something to brag about.
The psychiatrist character in question will be Anson Fullerton. He is a clinical psychologist with a focus on human behavior. Having had plenty of work with agents in the past, he seems to be the perfect person for someone like Michael (Donovan) to go to for a little Q & A. Now that seems a little too easy, so I imagine Fullerton won’t be very forthcoming. He’s a psychiatrist after all; they’re not allowed to talk about the things they hear. Now unless Michael is planning on torturing him to get the answers he wants, the guy will probably be pretty tight lipped. But he’s on for five episodes, so he’ll be serving some kind of purpose. Maybe Michael actually uses him for therapy? I guess that could be neat.
Aside from Breaking Bad, Burns has had a recurring role in FX’s Justified as Wyn Duffy, a psycho lieutenant, and a guest spot on Psych.
Charisma Carpenter has guest role coming up this season of Burn Notice, as does Jame Frain and Gavin Rossdale.
