Dennis Quaid with Brooklyn Decker in What To Expect When You’re Expecting?

The very famous book, What to Expect When You’re Expecting is about to become a LionsGate comedy starring Dennis Quaid. We heard some previous buzz that a certain True Blood hottie might appear in the film, but now we’re not so sure. The good news, however, is Twilight actress Anna Kendrick has definitely won a role, joined by the beautiful former Victoria’s Secret model and actress Brooklyn Decker. Shooting is planned to begin in mid-Summer with an anticipated release date of May 11, 2012. Hey, that’s Mother’s Day weekend!

According to Variety Quaid’s new role was announced yesterday. Other big names in the cast are Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Elizabeth Banks, Glee‘s Matthew Morrison, Chace Crawford and Rob Huebel. Lucky Mr. Quaid will play the husband to a much younger wife, portrayed by Decker. The slightly mismatched couple will be expecting twins. Yikes! To further complicate issues, Quaid’s adult son will also be expecting, but it will be his first child, the Quaid character’s grand-child.

Heather Hach and Shauna Cross (Whip It) co-wrote the script said to focus on four interconnected couples. Veteran actor, Dennis Quaid appeared in classics like Enemy Mine, Innerspace and Wyatt Earp. Playing By Heart is an amazing ensemble romance much in the same vein as What to Expect and a must see that he was also a part of. His more dramatic turns were featured in films like Any Given Sunday, Far From Heaven and In Good Company.
