Dylan Baker Embezzling in White Collar Season 3

White Collar USA

USA Network has cast Dylan Baker in third season of White Collar according to TV Line. Baker also recently appeared in the USA’s Burn Notice as a company man named Raines in the fourth season finale. However, he won’t be appearing on White Collar until 2012, when the show begins the second half of its current season. Baker is playing Andy Woods, a cutthroat financier who has deep connections to a drug cartel. He is suspected of using his daughter’s private school for embezzling. Sounds to me like he won’t be winning Father of the Year with schemes like that. Elizabeth Gillies will appear playing Andy’s daughter.

Baker is joining current big name guest stars Beau Bridges and Joe Manganiello. Bridges is doing his stint for the midseason finale, airing Aug. 9 and Manganiello is also not appearing until the second half of the season next year. I’m digging the choice of talent so far. It’s always amazing to see a show that can bring on a heavy hitter veteran like Bridges and also utilize up and coming talent like Manganiello. There’s no bias toward experience they just want great actors. Who can argue with that kind of logic?

Aside from the occasional guest work, Baker is also becoming a series regular for the new season of DirecTV’s Damages alongside John Goodman, which premieres July 13. And if that wasn’t enough to keep a guy busy, he’ll be playing the role of Katherine McPhee’s character’s father in the upcoming NBC musical drama Smash.
