Franco Could Have Been BREAKING DAWN

Actor James Franco is reported to be a Twihard. I’m not making this stuff up. BoomTron reported on an earlier connection between the star of Rise of the Planet of the Apes and the Twilight Saga. Now that connection is revealed to be a more intimate one.
Comic Con just recently saw a reveal of some promo art featuring Bella, Edward, the Cullens, and Jacob Black, but the pretty Breaking Dawn picture did not include James Franco. Might things have gone differently? Sources say, yes!
MovieLine reported Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn director Bill Condon very nearly hired Franco to act in the film.
“He told a friend of mine who then sent a message along to me,” Condon explained. “For a moment it was like, what could James Franco play that doesn’t feel like ‘Where’s Waldo?’ I really thought about it for a second, and nothing made sense.”
I can definitely see Franco as a vampire, but Condon explained, “I think he thinks this somehow involves some big rejection of the idea. It wasn’t that. If it had made sense, and frankly if I had called and said ‘do you want to play that vampire from that country,’ it would have involved hanging around for two months in a scene with 80 people, and I don’t know if he really would have wanted to do it.” In this case, Franco’s popularity and star power could be to blame.
