John Rhys-Davies in PSYCH Season 6

The ever-growing list of guest stars for the sixth season of Psych has expanded once again, this time to include British actor John Rhys-Davies. He will be playing a “frazzled” curator at the Santa Barbara Art Museum. I wish I could say if he’s a good guy or a bad guy, but the information is a little light on the specifics. However, I can say that Rhys-Davies won’t be the only guest star that episode. Also appearing will be Cary Elwes, best known for his work in the Saw film series and Robin Hood: Men in Tights. Steve Franks, the creator of the show, will be doubling as writer and director for the episode.
John Rhys-Davies is known to an older generation for appearing in Raiders of the Lost Ark, but to us younger folk he will always be Gimli the dwarf from Peter Jackson’s epic The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Jackson is currently working on The Hobbit prequel films, but Rhys-Davies is not reprising his role. Peter Hambleton will be playing Gimli’s father Gloin, which is good enough for me.
If you haven’t been on the Internet in awhile, you might have missed the rest of the amazing talent being brought in for Psych Season 6. So far we have Jennifer Finnigan, Jason Prestley, Tony Hale, William Shatner, Danny Glover, Kristy Swanson, Joey McIntyre and Molly Ringwald. I know what you’re thinking, that’s a lot of guest stars. And it is. And that’s what is going to make Season 6 so awesome.
