It looks like Las Vegas forensic scientist Sara Sidle will be sticking around for a while as TVLine brings word that Jorja Fox has upped her recurring guest star role back to series regular on CBS’s CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
Fox was a regular for the crime drama’s first seven seasons, leaving during Season 8 and then returning for Season 9 as a guest star, where the character of Sara once again became an integral member of the team. It’s been four seasons of wondering when Sara would split again, but it looks like she’ll be calling the crime lab home for the foreseeable future, which is probably a good thing considering that casting has been shuffled around again, with Laurence Fishburne exiting the show and Ted Danson stepping in to take his place. Elisabeth Harnois is also returning as a series regular to fill the void that will be created when Marg Helgenberger steps down to part-time.
In addition to a couple of new faces joining the team, CSI is also facing the challenge of a new time slot, so don’t forget to tune in on Wednesday’s at 10/9C starting September 21st to see how the new, and possibly improved, CSI will do.
