Lauren German Joins Hawaii Five-0 Team

Hawaii Five-0 CBS

Lauren German will be traveling to Hawaii as a new team member on Hawaii Five-0 this fall. TV Line reportsthat German will become a series regular, along with the already promoted Masi Oka. Her character has not been named as of yet, but we do know quite a bit about her already. She’s a former Homeland Security officer who’s brought in by the new Governor, played by Richard T. Jones. Her purpose is that of any law enforcement, fighting crime, but she has another objective. Since the team caused so much trouble last season, the Gov. wants to keep a tighter leash on them. German will rein the team in.

The most important aspect of German’s character, in my humble opinion, is that of a possible love interest for McGarrett. If she is hard on the team and keeping them in check then perhaps a little romance is just what the doctor ordered to relieve any tension. I can’t imagine McGarrett and the rest being content to have someone undermine them and keep them from doing what they feel is the best way to get the job done. But if a relationship sparks, then German’s character might be a tad more lenient. Maybe she’ll even be supportive.

Also flying down to the islands for some guest starring action is Lost alum Terry O’Quinn and tough guy Tom Sizemore. Hawaii Five-0’s second season is set to premiere Monday, Sept. 19 of this year. If you aren’t completely psyched yet, you might want to get checked out.
