Rebecca Mader in Syfy’s Alphas

Rebecca Mader seems to be going in the right direction again, according to the latest from TVLine, as the former Lost alum is scheduled for a guest spot on Syfy’s new Alphas. After appearing in the accident known as No Ordinary Family, it takes a whole lot of faith to sign on for another show that features people with super powers, but Alphas might be worth the risk.

According to a rep for the show, Mader will play “a mysterious Alpha” but there’s no word on if she’s going to be one of the good guys or bad guys. There’s also no word on exactly which episode she’ll appear in, although her character will apparently make an appearance within the first ten episodes and she possesses an ability that “has to be seen to be believed.”

The former Lost star is making sure the TV audience doesn’t forget about her because she’ll also be showing up on USA’s Covert Affairs on July 19th.

It’s way too early to tell, but it looks like Alphas might turn into a big win for Syfy, with the premiere bringing in 2.5m viewers on Monday night, making it the network’s most-watched series debut in two years.
