Rihanna Follows Megan Fox at Armani

Rihanna is so Armani. Do you agree? Well, you better get on board, because the singer is replacing actress Megan Fox as the new face of Armani’s ad campaign. The singer will grace ads for Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans starting in the autumn/winter season of 2011 and 2012, reports Vogue. We haven’t seen any sneak peek’s yet, but how can the match up go wrong? Rihanna? Good. Armani? Good. The first set of ads have already been shot. We should see them around September.
If you want to compare Rihanna to Fox’s stint in the same position, BoomTron has a wealth of imagery for you. Remember the Sport Code video? What about the Armani Code (and the making of)? The print ads were fairly sophisticated, I thought. I expect great things from Rihanna, though. Armani, based in Milan, Italy, is, of course, an international fashion house.
Did you know the current male face of Armani is tennis player Rafael Nadal? He may have lost Wimbeldon this year, but that sounds like a win win situation to me.
Rihanna’s latest album, Loud, is available now with such tracks as “Love the Way You Lie (Part II),” “What’s My Name?” and “Only Girl (In the World)”. When we hear more from Armani, you will, too!
