The Voice Season 2 – Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton Return

The Voice is returning this winter for its second season and it’s been made official that all four of the show’s coaches will be returning as well. So get ready for even more of Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. Let’s be honest with each other, I don’t watch The Voice or any show remotely like it. I respect that it gives people with real talent a chance to make a name for themselves that they normally wouldn’t have, but there’s always those people who show up to auditions just for their 15 seconds of fame and that bothers me. Of course that’s what people love watching, sometimes more than the people with real talent, but that’s just how things work. I don’t like, but that doesn’t mean it’s not entertaining to the vast majority.
Now the news that Aguilera, Green, Levine and Shelton are coming back means virtually nothing to me. A judge is judge, or in this case coach, so it doesn’t matter who they have doing this show. Having never seen The Voice, I don’t know if this set of coaches is especially pleasant to watch, or if they even have anything to offer the contestants in terms of constructive criticism. I tend to think these jobs are just attempts to help reignite their careers, although that doesn’t really apply to Cee Lo Green who’s enjoying a good time with his hit single “F— You”. I really am in no place to judge this show. It’s straight up not my area of expertise, so if you love The Voice, scream it loud and proud in the comments below.
