The Walking Dead Season 2 Teaser Trailer

Okay, it’s Friday so I’ll start you with some good news. There’s a new trailer for The Walking Dead, Season 2, floating around the web and it looks pretty good. Unfortunately, it was made by a fan.
We still have a few months to go before the zombies are once again running lose on AMC and we probably won’t get any cool promos too early, unless you’re one of the lucky dogs that will be attending Comic-Con International in San Diego this year, so I’m all for taking any scraps I can get.
When the trailer hit the web, it was looking like an early Halloween present from AMC but comic book creator and executive producer Robert Kirkman took to Twitter last night and broke the news, tweeting, “This Walking Dead Season 2 teaser that is making the rounds online is very cool… but it’s NOT a real teaser. Just letting people know.”
Gale Anne Hurd, who also executive produces the AMC hit, shared the same info on Twitter, “No official #TheWalkingDead Season 2 teaser is out yet, but there’s a fun fan promo circulating on the web. See you at #SanDiegoComicCon”
It’s that last line that makes me think ComicCon visitors will be in for a special treat, so feel free to send your tickets my way if something comes up and you’re unable to make it. It would be a shame to let them go to waste.
Of course, AMC isn’t being totally cruel when it comes to The Walking Dead. We might not have an official trailer but we do have the first official image from the upcoming second season that features a very freaky-eyed zombie, as well as plenty of casting info, including the addition of Lauren Cohan, Scott Wilson, and Pruitt Taylor Vince. There’s even a cool little video called Inside The Walking Dead: First Day of Shooting Season 2. The title says it all so check it out.
