Zooey Deschanel Sets New Girl Date

New Girl was the working title for a new Zooey Deschanel vehicle coming to FOX this Fall, but I guess it’s solid and official now (the Fox site doesn’t reflect that but the official twitter account seems to). I’m a bit late on these, just now thinking about Fall season publicity stream, but we have a batch of promo images from FOX that you can check out now while you wait for them in glorious, hi-tech movement. Debuting on September 20th, the pics are a worthy reminder to bring back right now, as Deschanel herself, along with confirming the premiere date, just revealed that New Girl will be led into by FOX’s powerhouse, Glee. There has been some reported casting flux but at the end of the of the day you have to believe viewers who were going to tune in are all in as long as Deschanel is involved. I don’t think I’ve seen her on TV since she guest starred on Bones (also on FOX ), but I think man, woman and child can all agree you pretty much have to be an inoperable weirdo to have an aversion to any of this generation’s Deschanel.
