Christina Hendricks Wonder Woman Hinges on Logan?

Want to see Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks in the familiar red-and-blue outfit of Wonder Woman? Then get your butt to the theater when Logan’s Run finally comes out because the director says one could affect the other. Director Nicolas Winding Refn has been picturing Hendricks as Wonder Woman for quite a while, but Paramount has seemingly turned a deaf ear to Refn’s continued non-subtle hints about bringing the DC Comics heroine to the big screen. However, MTV Splash Page brings word that Paramount might be listening after all.

Christina Hendricks – Prototype Powerhouse Wonder Woman?

“I would love to make Wonder Woman. And I also think that Christina Hendricks would be the perfect Wonder Woman, but Warner Bros. haven’t called yet,” Refn says. “But I’m getting closer with Logan’s Run. I think someone said to me in a meeting that if I get Logan’s Run right, then I’ll get Wonder Woman.”

The new Logan’s Run is an adaptation of the science fiction novel of the same name by William F. Nolan and George Clayton Johnson that tells the story of a society of people that aren’t allowed to live past a certain age. It was previously on the big screen back in 1976, and even enjoyed a short (very short) run as a TV series, so I’m surprised the reboot has dragged out so long in remake-happy Hollywood.
