New Fed Debuts on NCIS Season 9

Scott Wolf CBS NCIS

There’s a new face joining NCIS as Scott Wolf (Everwood, The Nine, V) joins the CBS military crime procedural, and executive producer Gary Glasberg says Season 9 will bring plenty of surprises.

The latest from TVLine reveals that Wolf will be joining NCIS in the potentially recurring role of FBI Agent Casey Stratton. According to Glasberg, Special Agent Stratton will have “an important role in this year’s season opener.”

“Who he is and how he influences the NCIS team will come in due time,” Glasberg says, “but I can promise you some unexpected surprises.”

Wolf’s character won’t be the only source of surprises for NCIS fans because Season 8’s finale left plenty to ponder, as things ended with Tony DiNozzo being assigned to bring in a fellow agent that was selling secrets. Season 9 starts four months later but we’ll find out what happened during that gap in time with flashbacks.

“We’re going to start the show in real time, in September, look back all the way to May, and then jump through the mission Tony was on,” Glasberg reveals.

The executive producer also revealed that fans might want to mark their calendars and set their clocks in preparation of NCIS’s return on Tuesday, September 20th.

“I highly, highly recommend you not miss the first five minutes of the show,” Glasberg says, “because it is going to start with a bang.”

The new Agent Stratton won’t be the only person loaded with surprises, because Season 9 will also introduce us to McGee’s grandmother, and she’ll be revealing a few things about the McGee family.
