Rise of the Planet of the Apes – Review – The Apes Are Back

How do you make a movie like Rise of the Planet of the Apes interesting when we already know so much about it? Going in we know that it was Earth all along, that Caesar started the rebellion, and that humans become second to apes. Rise of the Planet of the Apes instead tells us what drove Caesar to overthrow mankind. At least the mankind living in the Bay Area. Andy Serkis is the best motion capture actor and he gives Caesar an emotionally driven performance that overshadows all the human characters on screen.
