Tricia Helfer is FIRM but not up for CHUCK

It could be a case of mistaken identity but there’s some good news and bad news when it comes to former BSG babe Tricia Helfer appearing in The Firm and returning for another round of espionage on Chuck.

Helfer recently shared via her Twitter profile, “Just signed a recurring role “Alex Clark” in NBC’s ‘The Firm’ airing this winter. Will be working with some amazing talent – very excited!”

That’s great news for fans of the blonde bombshell but she later gave a little disheartening 411 when someone asked Helfer on Twitter if she was really going to be making a return appearance on Chuck and she replied, “News to me! @anjosie RT I just read an article that said @trutriciahelfer is going to be back on Chuck this season…is this accurate?”

It’s probably an innocent misunderstanding since Helfer’s new role on The Firm is a character named Alex, and her character on Chuck also happened to be named Alex. However, this Alex is “the senior partner of Kinross & Clark, who brings Mitch in as a partner.”

Just in case you need a refresher (and who wouldn’t since the movie came out in 1993), The Firm followed young attorney Mitch McDeere as he took down a corrupt law firm that was surprisingly ran by the Quaker Oats guy, Wilford Brimley. The new series takes place ten years later, when Mitch and his family come out of hiding.

Will Helfer be playing one of the good guys or is Alex somehow connected to Mitch’s past?
