Victoria’s Secret Marisa Miller R.I.P.D. with Mary Louise-Parker

Today’s headline aught to make Ryan Reynolds smile as Victoria’s Secret lends him co-star Marisa Miller for the suddenly very hot film adaptation of R.I.P.D. Whether you were a fan of his work in Green Lantern or not–you can chime in below–you must admit R.I.P.D. sounds intriguing. Reynolds will play a dead cop who is inducted into the Rest In Peace Department, where, according to Dark Horse Comics, his character, Nick Cruz, a murder victim, trades “a hundred years of service…in exchange for a shot at finding who killed him.”

Now Marisa Miller, Victoria’s Secret Angel and 2008 SI Swimsuit cover girl joins the cast and in a very comical way, I might add. You are probably wondering where it is that Reynolds works as the paranormal cop. He may have to visit hell, but he’ll also be out and about the earth. He’s dead though, so seeing him would freak out acquaintances, right? For that reason, his character will have a human avatar (the form humans see when he’s operating on earth). Miller will play that avatar. Yes, while Reynolds in on earth he’ll look like a girl. At least she’s sexy.

Now his partner on the force has an avatar, too. That role is filled by Jeff Bridges. R.E.D. actress Mary Louis-Parker and X-men First Class actor Kevin Bacon will also appear.

This will be Miller’s first feature film, but she has already appeared in episodes of Entourage, Gary Unmarried and How I Met Your Mother according to THR.
