Walking Dead Zombie on Anthrax

The Walking Dead is adding a bit of Anthrax to their zombies. No, I don’t mean the disease, but that is a pretty good misdirection. Scott Ian, the lead rhythm and lead guitarist for the heavy metal band Anthrax will be getting made-up to play a zombie in the upcoming second season of The Walking Dead. He posted an image of his finished zombie face to his Twitter and it looks fantastic. I especially like the chunks of skin missing from the top of his head. The zombie look suits Ian I’d say.
Since Ian is something of a celebrity, you can expect he’ll get more than just a cameo (at least I would hope. That’s a lot of make-up to put on for just a quick shot). If he’s lucky he gets to kill someone or be killed by someone. It’s no fun to just shamble around. You got to get your hands dirty and bloody. Rip some flesh apart!
Ian is also the guitarist and founder on the band Stormtroopers of Death. He also hosted The Rock Show on VH1.
Recently, The Walking Dead has seen a shuffle in power. Original showrunner Frank Darabont was fired for refusing to cut the series budget per episode. Glen Mazzara was promoted to Darabont’s position with some worrying of this would change the direction of the series. Mazzara has had experience as a showrunner in the past, but it was for a the Starz series, Crash, which was critically lambasted and low-rated.
