An Angel Visits NCIS Season 9

NCIS is receiving a visit from an angel during its ninth season, but I don’t mean the heavenly kind; I mean the kick you in the teeth kind. Yeah, that’s right, one of the original member of Charlie’s Angels is guest starring in the crime drama series. And which one will it be? Cheryl Ladd of course! She played the role of Kris Munroe from ’77 to ’81 on the original Angels. Now, what will she be doing of NCIS?
According to EW, Ladd will guest star as Ducky’s (David McCallum) love interest for the episode she appears in, which will be in late October. Sounds like a one night stand to me. But judge not lest ye be judged! Executive producer Gary Glasberg had nothing but praises to say about having Ladd on the show: “She is a delight to work with and everything we could have hoped for as Ducky’s love interest. She’s adding all kinds of dimension to a very fun role.” Good, dimension makes one night stands seem less icky.
As cool as it is to be a guest star on NCIS, it would on a whole other level of awesome if Ladd would appear on ABC’s reboot of Charlie’s Angels, which still could happen. “Once we’ve established our show in terms of what our series is, there is definitely room down the line for those appearances by characters from other iterations,” said Al Gough, one of the men behind the reboot. “We did the same thing on Smallville as a way to honor what has come before, and to find a new twist on the characters.”
