Alright, Twihards, get ready for the latest casting news surrounding your favorite vampire psychic, Alice Cullen. Okay, so this pertains less to Alice, that pixie-like sister to Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) who can be spied in Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn (part one) on November 15th, and more to the lovely young actress who brings Alice to life; Ashley Greene. Greene, it seems, just got a new gig.

Michael De Luca Productions, the company behind such films as the first Ghost Rider film, starring Nic Cage, 21, The Love Guru, and most recently, the remake of cult horror phenomenon, Fright Night, is teaming with Boss Media to produce Olivia Twisted. Awful name aside, the picture promised to be a modern re-telling of Oliver Twist with a Gothic twist. I’m thinking it’ll be a little Red Riding Hood meets Sucker Punch.

Ashley Greene will play the lead as Olivia, obviously a punkish female version of Oliver. According to Variety, the fun begins when 19-year-old Olivia and her gang of young street toughs, so to speak, who are described as being “highly trained” (perhaps by this film’s version of Fagin?), enlist in a kidnapping job that leads to a turf war with other gangs. I’ll be interested to see if futuristic London is the setting and who will be tapped to play Dodger. Wouldn’t you like to see a female Dodger, too? Unless, I suppose, there will be a romantic link between “Dodger” and Olivia. That might be nice.
