CSI Vegas Season 12 Casting

Vanessa Marano and Johnny Messner to appear in CSI Season 12

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is cooking up what appears to be a doozy of an episode by casting Vanessa Marano and Johnny Messner. Marano is one of the stars of the ABC Family series, Switched at Birth. She plays the artistically talented Bay Kennish. As for Messner, he is best known for playing Lance Baldwin on The O.C. Interestingly, Messner was a guest star in the second ever episode of CSI back in 2000.

According to THR, Marano will be playing Samantha, the estranged daughter of Frank, played by Messner. Not only is their relationship a little on the bleh side of things, but Samantha is essentially a street gang groupie. That’s what happens with teenagers. You let them out of your sight for one minute and they become groupies. Frank, not willing to put up with this nonsense, will go all Superdaddy on the gang to win his daughter back. Nothing beats a father kicking the crap out of some lowlifes in the name of his offspring.

Now, this is CSI, so it would make sense if there were some kind of murder to be investigated. Samantha and Frank’s story could be related to the murder, or maybe it’s a side story that plays parallel to the investigation. This one-man war element reminds of The Punisher in a lot of ways and I’d love to see a few references to that franchise if at all possible. I won’t hold my breath though.
