DOCTOR WHO Series 6 Finale – The Wedding of River Song Promo Pics

Because a teaser is never enough, there are now 20 brand new promo images for the Doctor Who Series 6 finale, “The Wedding of River Song”. I have got to say, it looks like everything is about to cranked up to a level of insanity that could very well have an affect on us viewers.

My favorite image, and the one posted above this paragraph, let’s us know Amy and Rory will be making appearances, as will as River. The thing is, they are all wearing those strange eye patches. What is so important about those things?

Also interesting to note, the three of them and the Doctor are standing in the same hallways seen in the prequel video released. The hallway has either many windows looking out to the ocean or many tanks filled with water. Whichever it is, there are members of the Silence standing creepily just outside the glass. I’m most interested in this hallway, which is part of a facility called Area 52. If you don’t immediately draw the connection to Area 51, then we may have to stop being friends.

The other images are less aesthetically pleasing, but still awesome. A good chunk of them are just character portraits, while the rest are from actual scenes in the episode. I’m very pleased by the return of Winston Churchill. He’s always a delight to see. I was hoping for a still of that pterodactyl that was seen in the teaser, but alas, no such luck. I guess their saving all the really good stuff for the episode itself.

   I think River is wearing Madame Kovarian’s clothes! I’d recognise those boots anywhere.
