God Complex DOCTOR WHO Teaser with Matt Smith and Karen Gillan

In case you didn’t wait to the end of most recent Doctor Who episode, “The Girl Who Waited”, to see the teaser for this weekend’s brand new episode, you can now watch it right here. The video is embedded below, and it looks like it could be one of the most bizarre and terrifying adventures the Doctor, Amy and Rory have experienced yet.

What we can gather just from the teaser for “God Complex” is the presence of a hotel of sorts, but judging by some on the folk staying there it’s not a hotel from present day Earth. It is likely a future Earth or another planet entirely. And also, we can tell there are some strange goings-ons. Not only is there a Minotaur-like creature lurking the halls (“We’re going to catch ourselves a monster,” the Doctor says. And I hope they do it quickly. I can’t stand cheesy costumes), but the rooms themselves hold within them scary stuff. In fact, each room holds with in it the fears of whomever enters. So if you’re afraid of weird clown dolls, expect to see the room filled with weird clown dolls.

I’m racking my brain trying to think how the episode’s title fits in to everything. “God Complex” could apply to just about anything. It could be one of the characters has a God complex, but in that case which one? The most obvious candidate would be the Doctor, but that’s too easy. It’s likely a villain. There’s also the possibility the hotel itself has a God complex. Or perhaps it’s a third option I haven’t thought of yet. We’ll just have to wait and see.
