Gossip Girl and Hit Girl HICK it up

The dramedy also stars Juliette Lewis, Alec Baldwin, Rory Culkin, Eddie Redmayne (My Week with Marylin) and Ray McKinnon (Sons of Anarchy).

The film unfolds as the 13-year-old character of Chloe Moretz sickens of taking care of herself and her mother, who has a “penchant for hard-drinking men and barroom drama,” according to MovieWeb. She decides to run away and heads west to become a “superstar”. Along the way she collides with drifter Eddie (Eddie Redmayne) and Glenda (Blake Lively) who has troubles of her own. A heartfelt and colorful journey is sure to follow. Will you be watching?

Usually self-assured and ethereal, this will be a big acting job for Moretz who won the Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a Feature Film for her part in the Young Ensemble Cast of Diary of a Wimpy Kid . She also won the Best Newcomer Empire Award for that film and for her role in Kick-Ass. She is filming Tim Burton’s Dark Shadows with Johnny Depp, Eva Green, Michelle Pfeiffer, Jonny Lee Miller, Helena Bonham Carter, Jackie Earle Haley and of course Christopher Lee.
