Hilary Duff Out, a True Blood for Bonnie and Clyde

Lindsay Pulsipher, History Channel, The Story of Bonnie and Clyde, True Blood

You may have caught the buzz surrounding Hilary Duff‘s supposed upcoming television acting gig. The thing is, she has just been replaced. What a meaty role it would have been for her, too. The former Lizzie McGuire star was gearing up to portray Bonnie in The Story of Bonnie and Clyde, a History Channel miniseries. Now the female lead for the project is True Blood actress, Lindsay Pulsipher, instead.

The Salt Lake City native is new to Season 3 of HBO’s sultry paranormal drama, True Blood, and her character is Crystal Norris. The blue-eyed starlet enjoyed a long recurring stretch on the A&E series, The Beast.

History is shaping up to be a lucky influence in the actress’s life. Not only will she play in The Story of Bonnie and Clyde, but THR reports Pulsipher is working now on production for another History Channel miniseries called The Hatfields and McCoys. I have a feeling this one could be a hit on DVD as Pulsipher is acting opposite the likes of Kevin Costner and Bill Paxton! Another film, Meth Head, puts her sharing the screen with actor Lukas Haas. It is due out sometime this year.

Tonya S. Holly, a producer from Cypress Moon Productions, called the Bonnie and Clyde project, “gripping”. Be on the look out for it. We’ll gas up the getaway car.
