Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley in VAMPIRE DIARIES The End of the Affair Promos

It’s time to take a trip into the past with Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley in the upcoming Vampire Diaries episode, The End of the Affair, where Stefan shows that being good at being bad isn’t a new thing for him.

One of the truly awesome things about a show that features immortal characters is that we’re not anchored into the here and now, and the third episode in Season 3 of The Vampire Diaries takes us back to the 1920’s, where Stefan was living large and enjoying all the fresh blood his fangs could spill.

The trip down memory lane is triggered by Stefan and Klaus visiting Chicago, where they run into a witch from the past who happens to still be carrying a flame for Stefan, and she’s probably not the only once since there’s no doubt that the ladies will be tuning in to check out Stefan rocking his dapper 20’s look. While Stefan is remembering his bloody past, Damon and Elena will be tracking him down, using information obtained from an unexpected source.

If there’s one picture in particular that makes this episode a must-watch, it’s the photo of a stunned look Stefan standing behind the bar at Gloria’s. I don’t know what he just read on the paper in his hand, but it looks like it could be an interesting piece of information.

The End of The Affair airs on The CW on Thursday, September 29th.
