Ladies of DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES Pose for Season 8

ABC’s long running comedy-drama series, Desperate Housewives, is entering it’s final season after being on air for seven years. As with every new season of every show, cast portraits get put out with all the main players dressed up and airbrushed to look their absolute best. But since this the last season, there’s a bit of sadness that comes with this image, as it’s one of the last we’ll ever see of this group of people together. Even if you don’t watch the show, you should at least feel sad for those that do.It was EW who got the first look at this portrait, taken by photographer Matthew Rolston. It’s got the original four leading ladies, Lynette (Felicity Huffman), Gabrielle (Eva Longoria), Susan (Teri Hatcher) and Bree (Marcia Cross). And then, for some unknown reason, Vanessa Williams’ character, Renee, is a part of the group photo. I’ve got to ask, why? Not only is she not a Season 1 original character, she didn’t appear until last season. I have nothing against her, I’m just bringing this up because it’s the last season. I would expect the focus to be on just the original actors, but I guess not.

Desperate Housewives Season 8 premieres Sept. 25. On the bright side, the show will be around until May. There’s been talk of a possible time jump forward a few decades in the series finale, so we can see everyone when they’re super old and lame. Who doesn’t want to see an 80-year old Teri Hatcher?
