Mace Windu with Deadwood in Tarantino’s Django?

The f-bombs might be flying as Samuel L. Jackson teams up once again with Quentin Tarantino in Django Unchained, and Gerald McRaney might also be joining the production too, although there’s no word on if any f-bombs will be in his arsenal.Jackson, who has portrayed everything from a Jedi Master to a deep-thinking assassin, has long been rumored to be attached to Django Unchained as Stephen, a house slave that uses a firm hand to keep the other slaves in line for a sadistic slave-owner. Variety has recently confirmed the casting news, and it looks like Jackson will be a busy guy for a little while. He’ll be on Broadway from mid-October to mid-January as Martin Luther King, Jr. in The Mountaintop, and he’ll head to New Orleans as soon as that wraps to join the Django production.
McRaney, who appeared in Deadwood and The A-Team, is also being considered for a role in Tarantino’s homage to spaghetti westerns, also according to Variety, but there’s no word at this time on who his character might be.
Django Unchained, which is expected to arrive in theaters on December 25, 2012, also stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Christoph Waltz, Kevin Costner and Jaime Foxx as Django.
