Miley Cyrus’s Dad Moves to 90210

Country music singer and father of Miley Cyrus, Billy Ray Cyrus has been put down to guest star in an upcoming episode of 90210. Normally when Cyrus does anything outside of singing or Hannah Montana, I just rolled my eyes at him, but in this situation he might actually be the man for the job. For some reason the idea of him being on 90210 just fits. I can see that working out, or at least not being a disaster. I’m not knocking his acting ability. He’s has tons of experience. I just don’t like seeing him in front of a camera for some reason.

According to TV Guide, Cyrus will play Judd Ridge, the father of new character, Austin (Justin Deeley). The role will be right up Cyrus’ alley, as Judd also happens to be a country music singer. Go figure. Aside from maybe strumming a guitar, I can only imagine Judd will be there to do typical father stuff. Hopefully he gets to embarrass his son in some way. Austin was introduced in the season premiere and participates in a strange love/hate relationship with Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord). We can likely assume the love will be a little stronger than the hate.

We’ll also get to meet Austin’s cousin, who will be played by American Idol’s Kellie Pickler. Austin has quite the musical family. No wonder they’re rich. Cyrus will appear in a November episode, with Pickler making her debut later in the season. Maybe they’ll bring Cyrus back and the two of them can do a duet.
