No Talia in Batman 3 DARK KNIGHT RISES?

There have been plenty of rumors flying around about Christopher Nolan’s latest Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises, but Marion Cotillard has put one of them to rest by saying her role of Miranda Tate is not Talia al Ghul in disguise.
Actually, that’s the translation that’s going around at this time, but if you watch the clip below of Cotillard’s interview with MTV News, you’ll notice that Talia’s name never comes up. What actually happens is that she’s asked if she used the comics as a reference for her character, and Cotillard replies with a smile, “Well, actually, it was not based off of a character in the comic.”
Of course, it’s entirely possible that she’s simply telling the truth and will appear in The Dark Knight Rises as an inconsequential side character that really doesn’t have anything to with the major plot of the story, but could she possibly be side-stepping the truth just a little bit? After all, Talia has used a few fake names in the DC comic world of Batman, but I don’t think she ever used the name Miranda Tate, so technically Cotillard would be telling the truth.
Nolan is known for loving his secrets and I personally still think Talia might possibly make an appearance, but it looks like we won’t know for sure until The Dark Knight Rises arrives in theaters.
