ONE TREE HILL Season 9 – Sophia Bush Daddy Revealed

It’s been a long time coming, but we’re finally going to meet Brooke Davis’ (Sophia Bush) dad in One Tree Hill’s ninth and final season. This is pretty significant when you take in to account this man had been heard of but not seen for eight years. He brings a whole new meaning to “Daddy wasn’t there.”

So whom is the lucky actor playing Mr. Davis? Well, it’s Richard Burgi of course. No, not of course? Burgi should be recognizable to anyone who’s watched Desperate Housewives, where he plays Karl Meyer and is all too often seen without a shirt. Seriously, Google “Richard Burgi Desperate Housewives” and you will get so many shirtless images of him. But I digress. Burgi’s role on One Tree Hill will be recurring, so he’ll get to make up for some of the lost time. If you’ve been following the show, then you already know some of the trouble Mr. Davis cause. He lost his job in Season 2, causing his family to sell their expensive house and then he and the Mrs. all together abandoned Brooke when they left Tree Hill for good. Oh and let’s not forget that he didn’t show up for Brooke’s wedding. Worst dad ever, I’d say.

So why is he showing up now? Who knows? It can’t be to see Brooke; otherwise he would have done that way sooner. If anyone has an idea as to why Mr. Davis is finally showing his face then leave it in the comments below.

   I guess he returns because he finally got his (great-) son. He will try to be a part of Brooke’s children.
