Retribution for Michelle Rodriguez, returns to RESIDENT EVIL

Michelle Rodriguez is back for a little Retribution in the fifth installment of the Resident Evil franchise, which just goes to show that you can’t keep a bad-ass woman down… even when she’s dead.

Even if you haven’t been keeping track of all the sequels, you probably know Rodriguez’s character, Rain Ocampo, didn’t have a happy ending in the original 2002 Resident Evil. After being bitten and zombified, she was shot in the head by Matt Adison (Eric Mabius). It seems like that would be the end of Ocampo’s story but nothing in Hollywood is ever that simple.

BloodyDisgusting.com has confirmed that Rodriguez will be back in Resident Evil: Retribution as Rain, although there’s no word yet on exactly how she returns. Will she be seen in flashbacks? Are the mad scientists at Umbrella going to transform her undead remains into some type of zombie super soldier? In the world of Resident Evil, anything is possible.

Returning with Rodriguez will be Shawn Roberts in a cameo as Albert Wesker. Others that will be back for more zombie fun are Milla Jovovich (Alice), Sienna Guillory (Jill Valentine), Colin Salmon (James ‘One’ Shade) and Boris Kodjoe (Luther West).

Resident Evil: Retribution, which picks up right where Afterlife left off, is expected to release in 3D on September 14, 2012.
