Gosling and Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks DRIVE

Wow! I simply cannot wait to watch Ryan Gosling’s hot new thriller Drive and today’s exciting clips will reveal why. In the action-packed film, Gosling (The Notebook, Blue Valentine and Crazy, Stupid, Love” plays a character named Driver who is “a stunt driver by day and a getaway driver by night.” As he begins to fall in love with next door neighbor Irene, he also uncovers her troublesome past. She has an ex-convict husband called Standard and unless Driver takes part in a “dangerous heist” in order to “pay off” Standard, that fellow isn’t going to just remove himself from Irene’s life. Just wait until things get really out of hand, though!

Drive will hit theaters September 16th. Yes! That’s less than two weeks away! Of course that’s Carey Mulligan as “Irene” that you see in the clip from MTV. There is some sharp tension and blocking (body movement) in this clip. If it is any witness to the rest of the film, then I’m really thrilled. Ron Perlman is also in the film. Woo hoo! Bryan Cranston, Albert Brooks, Oscar Isaac and Mad Men‘s Christina Hendricks also star. And believe it or not there is some Oscar buzz hereHey, The Departed pulled it off, maybe Drive is next! Afterward, I’ll be waiting for October 7th and The Ides of March release where Gosling acts with George Clooney (who acts and directs) in a web-like political drama reminiscent of City Hall.
